Limbo – Poem

In My Writing, Poetry by Paul MacklinLeave a Comment

What does the wind say

when the sun kisses the clouds?

We’ve been dancing in tight spaces -

somewhere between the
walls
of worlds;
of heaven and earth.

But, clouds move on, and
the
wind is left dancing

a lonely fandango

in limbo.

I haven’t got a lot to give;

I haven’t got a lot to say.

I’m just the wind

flirting with the trees.

I’m all soft breeze

and blistering cold

carried on invisible strings -

a puppet of breath.

What can the wind say,

when the clouds roll away?
